Bag Of Love Unzipped at Delectable Treats

In unexpected turn of events, I actually managed to get an invitation to Bag of Love's Unboxing-turned-Unzipping event after days of doubting my earlier blog post on the event was enough. There were so many creative bloggers out there that went the extra mile to recreate their own imaginary tea party.

It was easy to see why so many wanted to be a part of this event organised by the Butterfly Project and Bag of Love in collaboration with Delectable Treats, Paradigm Mall. Not only were we treated to an overdose of yummy sugary and savoury treats, we were the first few in Malaysia to unzip our very own April edition of Bag of Love.

Before the unzipping commenced, we filled our grumbling tummies with every sweet stuffs Delectable Treats is known for....after 30 minutes of food-styling and photo-snapping, of course. We then tucked ourselves full with the tea time set. My personal favourite is the macaron. Pity I only got to try one flavour. Oh, well. All the more reason to come back to Delectable Treats.

Sweetness overdose.
For those salivating at the thought of these desserts, Delectable tea sets are available everyday between 2-6pm with these options:
Set
Tea for 1 : RM15 (One pot of tea + one of each item)
Tea for 2 : RM28 (One pot of tea + Two of each item)

Menu:
Spicy Sausage Puff
Chocolate Macaron
Roasted Cashews
Carrot Cake
Moist Chocolate Cake
2 Delectable Cookies
Cheery Almond Cakes

Tammy Lim (aka Plus Size Kitten) of the Butterfly Project along with Bag of Love founder, Mimi Teh opened up with a warm introduction that wasn't without light near-comedic bantering that amused us to no end. Those two should do standup comedy together.

Beauty brains behind Bag of Love, Mimi is a relatively newcomer to the beauty box market but she brings a unique twist to her concept. Instead of a box, several selected beauty products are stored and delivered in a adorable, reusable (not to mention, fashionable) bag.  Each month, subscribers gets a different beauty bag design for them to collect and use to store their makeup and beauty stuffs. The bags are particularly useful for jetsetters or even as a bag organiser for the everyday woman.

"All good reviews, yes or else.... -.-"
Excited squeals and gasps could be heard as we each received our beauty bags and on Tammy's cue, we unzipped it enthusiastically. And out poured an array of beauty products that also included a Definite contour brush. Because April was Earth month, the April Bag of Love is a durable canvas bag with products that are either natural, organic, or contribute one way or another to the environment. According to Mimi, some of the bags in the months to come will be theme-based so that will be something to look forward to for her subscribers.

A sneak peak of ....
Ta-da!!
A thorough review on Bag of Love coming soon.

Mimi and I had a good time catching up and reminiscing over our 'office' days, back when I was a makeup noob (still am but back then, I didn't even know how to wear eyeliner) and she was the generous big sister of the team who was all too willing to share with us tips and products. I wish her all the best in her new endeavor!
